South Pole solo
A Short Story
December
12
Camp: 82° 52’ 949” South 79° 24’ 143” West
Distance: 13.8 nautical miles (25.6 km)
Time: 9.5 hours
Weather: a bit cold on the fingers today
Snow: ok in parts, some signs it may get better soon
I listened to Bill Bryson’s audio book “A Short History on Nearly Everything” today.
I never realised I was so dumb.
The end of my short story.
PS Hello to all my De La Salle mates who are following me. I know you blokes would not understand the book either – I saw how you went at school.
Keep learning and study hard.

Georgie, I didn’t go to school at De La as you know but that’s bloody funny!
Keep studying mate
I’m sure you had a giggle. Bill is a funny man. I highly reccomend his book The Thunderbolt Kid. Soldier on. Cheers. Ridgy
Have noticed that you are clocking up some good km’s on a regular basis now. Seems you are in the zone (and quoting Dr Suess less).
Forge on my friend, forge on!
Mate well done and super work on the km’s you are pumping out…You are the Modern day Captain Cook and a super star.
Georgie, I realised a long time ago how dumb I am!
Keep up the good work champ. As Greigga said you seem to be covering more ground now. Is it getting easier (if that’s possible)?
