Diamonds In The Snow

South 84 09.442  West 80 19.005

Distance: 15.1 (28km)

Time: 9.5 hours but very character building
Snow: softer today and had to tough it out in 20-25knot winds all day
As I headed off into a strong head wind, I looked into the snow below me and could see hundreds of glistening diamonds reflecting in the sun at me.
All I could think of was the classic beatles song, that I replaced the chorus of “Georgie in the snow with diamonds”
After singing that a few times, I tempted several times to gather some of those diamonds only to get frozen fingers.  Then the realisation that the recent snowflakes formed had crystallised on the surface had also made me realise that I was going to have to buy Nicole real diamonds afterall.
Can’t wait to get home to cash convertors!!  Only joking.
Resting up tonight as tomorrow is windy again.
Hello to everyone from Alpha Group.

Georgie, don’t waste your money on diamonds. Cubic zirconias always work for me!

28kms is a great effort considering the strong winds.

Amongst other cash converter buys- I’m about to retrieve that horse picture I had hanging in my room forever, of horses( which as you know, a five day horse ride would make me consider one day in the antartica by myself ;Infact I choose the south pole }Mum and dad bought it for me when I was eight or nine-you will recognise it when Nicole hangs it in Cloes room every time she is expecting Aunty Lisa to arrive.Only joking Nicole .
